3 Deep Breaths....
....and did not in fact rip this guy's ear bud out of his ear and put it in the glass of water in front of him or stomp on it last night at the restaurant, as he sat there annoying the crap out of everyone around him.

At first I thought you were saying Larry David sat next to you at dinner last night and he was annoying you.

Thanked: 3228Yup, almost as annoying as having someone's rug rats out of control in a restaurant. I feel for ya.

Thanked: 3795I have poor people skills. I have been told this many times. I don't have the tolerance for other people's behavior that most of you seem to have so I would have asked the person to speak more quietly. If he raised a fuss and/or refused, I would have asked to be relocated away from him. If that ended up not being possible, then would have done the same thing Larry David did in the video.
I would not have been able to try sit there and tolerate it, but then, I have it on good authority that I am an @$$ho/e.

Thanked: 44I was in a restaurant once. Two twenty somethings were sat at the table next to us wearing caps. I took the time out of my day to move to their table, sit down and educate them on the subject of good hat etiquette. They duly apologized and removed their caps. I moved back to my own table where I watched the twenty somethings call over the manager, who then came to see me and said they couldn't serve me any more whisky until I'd had something to eat. You just can't help some people.

Oh Phrank....those folks don't know it and never will, but they should be thankful it was you, not I!
I'm a peaceful person, but my wife tells me that being 6'2" and 265, I don't always appear peaceful, and that my " Excuse me, pal, could you keep it down?" is sometimes seen as aggressive rather than friendly.
Oh well, I hope you nonetheless had a good evening, and, as well, hope my wife is wrong...I just like to instruct, not threatenJust call me Harold

Thanked: 4207Guess I too am an old fart now. I actually asked a guy the other week to lower his voice during his marathon cell phone call during my relaxing lunch at McD's. He was around my age, glared at me a bit and ultimately took it to his car but some things just need to be said when they come up..
