Thread: Ann Corcoran monologue on refugee resettlement

Interesting, although clearly biased monologue from a woman who seems to believe her facts on who's footing the bill, States-side, for the relocation of refugees. I have not cross referenced her materials, but wanted to share. A friend from PA sent this to me. I hope she is incorrect with some of her statements.
Not to incite political debate on our shave forum, just to share perspectives and possibly have some dialogue about a global problem and it's North American impact.

I worked in Immigration so I'm intimately familiar with this and she is right this has been going on for a very long time. It's nothing new with folks from the middle east. In my city they resettled huge numbers of Cubans after the Mariel Boatlift and from around 200 Cubans who were mostly criminal types the result was an explosive crime wave involving extremely violent offenders. All in all though these folks, historically speaking have been a positive force in this country down the road with few exceptions like I mentioned.

Funding comes from a variety of sources but ultimately the Federal Govt reimburses states and local government as well as the voluntary and religious agencies.

Up here we have a smaller, but large to scale influx of refugees and I feel for those, like our own forefathers, that want to make a better life for their progeny. Get lumped in, dismissed, hated, and hate in kind.
From stories I'm told my Grandparents were subject to similar bias, but for less tangible reasons when they arrived.
I was more curious in that video about the driving forces and the organisations behind them. Those forces could have more concerning implications from a master plan perspective IMO. If in fact her facts are correct.

Just had a great meal at a local ethnic restaurant and saw a few tables with complete young families.
One had 6 children with a pregnant mom. another four and one brewing, another 7+ one in the pot. There were a couple of three person families with one brewing in each; but those parents were still in their teens.
The fathers were along.
