Thread: Nice catch - 10 pound Brookie

Bob, Lake Superior Lake Trout and Whitefish are really tasty. I'm a big fan of the smoked fish you can get in Duluth and Grand Marais.

Have to admit I have fished some and even tasted some fish. From what I have seen Lake Superior Lake Trout tend to be fatty and have white meat where the inland Lake Trout aren't as fatty and tend to have pink meat. Had some of the smoked inland variety and have to say it was not too bad at all. Never tried any Whitefish though.

The boss likes her fish so we go to the local reserve and she can have a feed of fresh Pickerel there. We recently took a friend from Holland there, several times in fact, as she enjoyed the Pickerel so much. Makes me wish I enjoyed fish.
