Ever Google yourself?
After watching a movie (can't remember which one), in which one of the characters said they would google another, I got to thinking, what kind of stuff can you find there. I found clips of me I forgot existed...
Flair clips 2006
I wonder what you'll find

Thanked: 0I get 1,350 hits in Google for my name. There are a two or three that are other people with the same name, but most of them are actually me.
Unfortunately, many are from archived postings to a Usenet group called alt.tasteless, where I used to post under my real name before I knew better!

Thanked: 0The first 8 listings are me, my grandfather, or my great grandfather, didn't check the other pages, but now I know where to start that genealogy thing I mentioned in another thread, since I can now get my great-grandfather's death cert.

Thanked: 0Yeah, I've done that before. Apparently I died and left a wife in the '90's and no one bothered to tell me!

I did. Being a prolific usenet poster on the Microsoft newsgroups, and having a public blog, I have thousands of hits, though the fact that my last name consists of 2 parts makes the results somewhat ambiguous.
But I realized early on that google does not forget, ever.
So I always took care not to post any information anywhere that I would not like to be known by anyone else.
Lots of people don't take care. However, these days, HR personel often try to find out more about potential employees for key functions.
Don't post anything you would not want to be known by your employer or your family and friends.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
