    Default "Shaken, not stirred"

Today I picked up my cell phone to head out & noticed that it had not charged, even though connected. I tried several portable chargers I have in the car, none seemed to transfer power to the phone,,, then I connected it to the car plugs , still no transfer,,, so I figure its a battery gone bad,,,, then I noticed that if I jiggled it,,, there was a transfer. Well,,,, I'm not gonna sit there & jiggle it all day,,, so off to Verizon I went.

They don't repair them there & my phone was "old" , as they put it. I was eligible for another phone. So I got the IPhone 6. I have a Nano with my music on it, so now I can have it on my phone too.

Setting up the new phone, I see that you can use your thumb print to open the phone,,, way cool.
I feel like James Bond now with my new phone!

The iPhone's have incredible cameras. Perfect for SOTD photos.

Biometric IDs are still, especially on consumer electronics, a bit more of a gimmick than a serious security option. Or at least that's what I've been told.

Case in point, my sister in law updates iphones every time a new one comes out and I watched one of my nephews bypass her fingerprint security with a Google search and a piece of sticky tape. He then had lots of fun changing all her contact names into Game of Thrones characters ... (I may have added one or two myself, can't remember now...)

Anyhoo, moral to the story - either don't have anything massively important on the phone, or use a PIN or password. Personally I prefer the first choice - there's nothing on my phone except phone numbers and some music basically.
