I don't know how these subjects get fixed in my brain but lately I've been thinking about how the U.S. stacks up in terms of dangerous weather and natural disasters. Let's see, we have earthquakes in the West/Northwest, tornadoes basically from the midwest to the east coast, hurricanes and high temperatures on the southern and eastern coasts, terrible snow and cold conditions in much of the country during the winter months ---anything else? Anyway for anyone who is more traveled than I or who lives in another country, am I seeing this right -----does the U.S. have more than its fair share of dangerous weather and natural disasters?
