Thread: Just thought I would share

Even though I am in Kuwait, I would like to share a little project that was going in the states while I have been away. For those of you that are enthusiasts and even if you're not, enjoy! Before you ask, it's not quite done yet, still need to finish the trim, flashing, hood ornament, etc.

I don't quite understand -- or you doing the work or is it being done for you?
I mean is this an ongoing project that you are working on when you are in the U.S.?

Anyway it looks great!!!

Very nice - I had a 58 Buick Special years ago but unfortunately couldn't resolve a transmission problem back in those pre-internet days so ended up selling it off. Loved that straight eight engine and those seats that were like a living room sofa.

Some of the minor engine work and gauge work (all of them were broken) I did myself, the paint and interior were done by others. The trim is actually being completed by my wife and a friend of mine while I am over here. I am putting some additional touches on it when I get home. Got to get a windshield washer, and probably put in Vintage A/C when I get home. Still trying to visualize what I want to do with the engine, thinking about a V-8 because there is plenty of room in the engine compartment, but not sure if the car could deal with that much power.

So far only the wife Too bad I don't have it over here, but then again, it would probably never make it to the states in one piece. AFDavis knows what I mean, he's seen how the Kuwaitis drive... Horrible.

Awww gimme a break. If I was back in the states I would do it myself. Kinda hard to work on the car when you're in the middle of nowhere. And my wife has enough mechanical aptitude to get the car done, AND it will be done by the time I get back. Which is why my wife is finishing this because she knows how important it is to me. What a woman!
