Remembrance Day - Veterans Day
Tomorrow is Remembrance Day. There have been many posts, and links, and shares on social media over the last few weeks, some of them very enlightening and inspiring. But tomorrow, the rubber meets the road. Remembrance Day is not a National Holiday in this country, and I am not advocating that it should be. I think the meaning of the day has more effect if everyone does what Veterans ask of them on the 11th of November, which is to take two minutes of your day, at the 11th hour, and silently reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women in our Armed Forces, both in the past, as well as each and every day. Take two minutes of your day and STOP what you are doing out of gratitude . . . gratitude that their sacrifices mean that you do not have to.
LEST WE FORGET . . . LEST WE FORGET

Thanked: 351November 11 is the day we stop and thank those who laid down their lives for us.
Locally, there's a lot of complaints about how they cannot go shopping on their "Day Off".....
At one time, only bread and milk were allowed to be sold on November 11th, now it's before noon and then it's a "free for all"!
I will not sell, nor advertise anything on Novermber 11th. (my local time of course).
I grew up in Norway, watching where I ran in the forrest, because of all the WWII barbed wire strung throughout the forrest of a "Neutral" country that was taken over by the Nazi's. I hold no ill will towards the German people... in fact, some of my best friends are german. I just chose to remember those who fought for our freedom and xxxxxxx died for it.
Regards

I salute and respect all Veterans. It was my honor to serve with soldiers from Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Canada during my combat tour in the Republic of Vietnam. And for our young men and women serving today, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
