The Upcoming Hoilday Season
What with the upcoming holiday season and the strife happening in the world these days I want to start this holiday season of 2015 off with a sense of unity and positive progress.
Regardless of your religion, race or political views I want to wish the positive blessings from all religions and beliefs of the world on each and everyone of us. One can only hope (and I know it is idealistically to think so) that enemy and friend, foe and those we swear fealty to, will find it in their hearts to see the need for civility and unity. We are truly only one race - homo sapiens, despite what so many naysayers would have you believe. Find it in your hearts the moment or minutes to pause and reflect on what has been good, what can be corrected without pain and destruction and ask the Universe one time only to see peace reign over the Earth."The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

It's good to see that even with age your idealism hasn't been lost Richard. It is easy to see the bad in the world. Harder to see the good, as I get older I find myself more skeptical and less full of awe and wonder at what the world provides.

Ed, it's harder to find the awe and wonder out there, but it is there and will oft times surprise you as to when it pops up on your radar. Don't let the blackness of current affairs fade any bright spots that you have or they, the naysayers and slayers will win.

Also, Ed, before you, or anyone else, labels me as being Pollyanna in my attitude and beliefs, my idealism, as you call it, comes with a caveat, and that is the reality of the world. As much as I support the need for calmer and clearer heads to work on viable solutions to the worlds problems, I hold strong to the fact that should anyone come to my door or my country and threaten me, my family, my friends and my country I will take whatever steps needed to negate that person or persons efforts. The old motto from one of the early colonies is always strong and vivid in my mind: Don't Tread On Me.
