Thread: Question on storage

Just wondering how everyone stores the razors. By size by name brand by scale materiel In the coffin or out. As of right now i keep mine it the coffin and name brand together which isn't that hard since i don't have the collection that many of you have. I choose 4 to use for a while and put them in my razor box and the others stay in the gun safe. I switch them out when i use them once or twice. since i shave only every 2-3 days they last quite some time. Just wondering.

I usually hang the oft used razors from magnets by their tails; those that alternate in my shaving selections.
I do have a few shadow boxes with about 14 razors in each. Those, mostly, are the pretty ones that I have renewed and shaved with. I use the upholstery non woven padding to hold them against the glass. That padding does not absorb water.

Most of mine came in from the junque shop world and so had no coffins or badly rotted ones.

I bought a Gerstner box years ago and at the time all my shaving gear would fit in it including razors. I've outgrown that over the years and now have an assortment of wood boxes for my razors. At some point I picked up an old wood box off eboy which I refinished which holds about 8 razors and we had a member from the north country who was a carpenter and he made me a box which holds about 18 razors and then I have a bunch of wood pen boxes and a few custom types which came with their own boxes.
