    Default How you gonna celebrate?

    The New year of course.

Around these parts the Clan usually gets together at Cousin Jethro's place and we imbibe too much spirits and then Cousin Festus takes his clothes off and runs around in the snow and usually falls in the creek. After we fish him out he spends the next two weeks in the hospital with Pneumonia.

I'll be going on my annual New Years day hike which is usually @ 3 miles. I'll pack along the fixings to make tea somewhere on the trail.

Oh, same as always these days. Staying away from the drunks on the highway, drinking an iced mocha decaf and going to bed early.

And to think just a few short years ago it was scotch, fast women, and assorted narcotics. There was no need to depart from the norm just because it was New Years Eve...

But from childhood I do miss watching Guy Lombardo at gramps & grandma's place. Didn't much care for Guy Lombardo, but G&G seemed to enjoy him quite a bit.

I am at work. It is doubtful we will do much. It is a common time for people to call in flare sightings so I may be out looking for nothing. Otherwise it will be the same as every other work night. Shave and shower around ten and go to bed. New Years day we will likely have a baked ham with all the usual trimmings.

Yep, I will do the same. Seems the older you get the less likely it is to over-indulge.

Yup - no more starting the party here in Toronto, and waking up naked on a beach in Vancouver 3 days later...that's for the young folk!

Me - same as usual these days, bunch of us always watch the DVD of, The Band, "The Last Waltz" and everyone's gone by 1am....

We are just going to visit some friends and play cards, followed by going to bed early to cap off the night!

Dave, I wish that were true...for me anyhow, the nature of my over indulgence has changed in form but remained remarkably ah, over-indulgent.

Dinner with some friends at a fine restraunt, followed by a great brandy, and go to the house and open a new bottle of Knob Creek to start the year off right, and kiss my favorite girlfriend. Wish everyone a happy new year, Tc
