I was wondering what the neighbours were making all that racket about.

Well, you must have missed a hell of a game.
The boys really poured their hearts into it.
I am a Canadian through and through so I really hate for us not to win.
I love the sport and great hockey is what its all about.
Your Country can be very proud of them.

Apparently, hockey is a big thing in Finland. Last night, right after the win, people took to the streets in the centre of Helsinki. Some of them decided that a celebration with clothes on is no celebration at all. At -19 Celsius. With a stiff (harhar) gale. I'll spare you the pictures.

I pretty much missed the entire tournament, as I work evening shifts and am not an avid hockey fan (I'm imported Dutch). But it never ceases to amaze me how big of a thing hockey is and how good Finns are at it.

Good thing too it's a holiday today, otherwise half of the Finnish working population would call in sick to work. Literally.

    Thank you,

It was a great tournament. Congrats, baby lions!

And not only with juniors but also for our women who took the world championship in ringette few days ago after beating Canada 13-0.

It was very exciting game yesterday, specially when Russia hit even only few seconds before the end of the 3rd round.
    Here's how it ended:
