    How about the only Japanese language song to make it to the top in the U.S. Kyu Sakamoto's tune ,titled "Sukiyaki" for the English speaking market. The original title in Japan was "Ue o Muite Arukou" (I look up as I walk). It was also redone later with totally different lyrics by "A Taste of Honey" .
