The only problem is that he isn't their employer.
It's the voters in the congressional district, or the state, who can elect a different representative/senator at the end of their term if they aren't happy with how they're doing the job.

Just as an example - this past week the republican voters of Indiana nominated Donald Trump for president and the sitting representative from the 9th congressional district for senator.

The US Constitution is very clear and the Supreme Court has always upheld that the executive branch cannot meddle in the legislative. Trump has to work with Congress, which he understands very well given his recent remarks.

I didn't convey that well. Sorry. I do know he can't fire them for real but can't you just see him come on stage and say the words anyway.

    You're all FIRED!!!

That would be a priceless moment.

Sorry to inform you but Obama is not running against Trump and the racism card has been thrown too many times to be any kind of argument. Why don't you take a wild stab and look at the issues? The democrats want more socialism to get votes; the republicans, though self serving in their own way, want more of a free society.

Besides I know a lot of lawyers and businessmen. Most are hard workers but as far as saying that a lawyer is more intelligent in general, no way.

One thing I'm expecting, is for the Trump camp to get Monica Lewinsky, or use some of her interviews, she quite clearly states that her personal life and career was destroyed, Hilary called Lewinsky a, "narcissistic loony tune" and pretty much trashed a young intern, not the definition of sticking up for "women" in the opinion of many, and certainly not the same treatment the feminist crowd dealt out to Bob Packwood. Even though Bill Clinton was a serial philanderer, clearly committed sexual harassment as the President with a young intern (power imbalance), and the many other instances, Hilary sought to silence and destroy those women who spoke out against Bill.

    That's not supporting women.

Just an outside observation, let alone the Elizabeth Warren Cherokee claim, which outraged the First Nation people who found no documentation whatsoever linking her ancestry. The only connection Elizabeth has is her statement of "high cheekbones". Remember, she made this claim long before the internet, when her status would only appear on internal University written lists. Her husband was hired at an Ivy League school, they wouldn't hire her, suddenly she ticks off the "Native North American" box, husband goes back to the University, suddenly she has a job at an Ivy League school, then Harvard, all essentially based on a lie.

Certainly will be lots of material for the Trump camp to use....and from here in Canada, we saw the Anderson Cooper question where he basically called Hilary out on flip-flopping on positions, how did he state his question, "You will say anything to get elected?"

Trump has his share of baggage as well, no doubt about it, it's going to be a fascinating process to watch. There will be much mud.

Now Twitter is heavily trending with the #DropOutHillary hashtag, seeing as the FBI is conducting an investigation on a candidate actually running for the POTUS...the Bernie folks and Clinton folks are having their own battle, Bernie supporters protesting at Clinton events.....interesting times indeed.

I think if Trump is to succeed in any way. His first test of his so called deal making abilities, is going to be what political talent he can get to support and rally around his push for the white house. I think courting favorable VP and cabinet prospects will play a huge role. There is much damage control with the party he is representing to be done. I don't believe he even has a chance if his own party wont deal with him. This is the test, success and you show the American people that yes he can negotiate a favorable outcome.
