    Do you mean water pressure (PSI)? If you had significant pressure , the water would squirt straight out of the hole. What is generating the pressure?

    Water is used in drilling and not all of it drains out. There are long sections that are full of it. When you start talking hundreds of meters, that's a lot of water to push around.
