The Odd Mind of Man
I live in a medium size town with a small University in it about 30 miles west of Portland, OR. Generally a quiet, town with nothing more than the usual events associated with a typical community (yeah, we have a few murders, fires and general malfeasance, but that's a typical town.) The local rag has an interesting column in it each week. A police log of notable events of the previous seven days. Considering the topic you would be amused, as am I, by the light tone used by which ever police man is writing it. To set the stage, there has been numerous reports the past several weeks about an unidentified sound heard in several sections of town. No one has been able to pinpoint it's origin and it has even been on Inside Edition which generated a number of theories submitted from around the world. The one that really caught my eye is the following because of the three dissimilar entities combined to establish it's theory. Read and enjoy.
Someone was convinced, "it was the Amish using Apple devices via DirecTv in attempts to drive everyone out of the area in order to take over."
Ya gotta love the human race and it's warped brain! This was better than popcorn and a good movie."The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

Old hat. Up in Taos, N.M there is what's called the Taos Hum. A low frequency hum that folks have been reporting on and off for many years. It's been researched and no one ha ever come up with a reason.
