Thanks for looking.

Good for you Hirlau and a neat idea for needles. You're starting to make me get the itch for leather work again. I have a tooled leather book cover and a holster for my .45 to finish up from a couple of years ago. First thing is first though.........I need a shave and a couple of razors to take care of.:)
Nice job, John.
What machine are you using?
Now you need to make a pouch to put your needle pouch in!
Here is a magazine pouch for my Glock 19,
Thanks for looking,,,:)

That's a nice mag pouch Hirlau.:)
Your seams look machine made. They are very good.
It's the same press I use to drill holes in my scales.

I thought about posting this in the 'What do you have in the mail' thread but I thought I'd show my meager attempt at having a 'skill'.
Ever since Glen advised me to pick up a Jeweler's Hammer (and I did) I've been looking for a 'lighter' one and one with a Really Rounded Head on the opposite end of the ball. I stumbled upon this on FleaBay and I'm pleased. Well once I modified it I'm pleased well I 'think' that I'm pleased. :w
It didn't come with the same kind of 'lump' in the handle that my original did but it was still enough to make it uncomfortable in the hand when I would be using it so as with my original, I cut the head off, drilled the wood and wedge out of the hammer's head and then sized the handle to accept the head that would be installed backwards and used JB Weld to secure the head back to the handle.
I've been playing with it and I think that I'll really enjoy it. I've got several razors coming in that will need attention so I'm hoping that this new tool will perform like I think it will.

Now I need to learn better photography skills. :banghead:
I'm not particularly handy unfortunately. But I do like to see other peoples work
Not sure if I'm allowed to post in this cool thread John, but here's my attempt..:)
Non razor related gift for a co worker who spent some time in the artillery with the Canadian forces.

T'is supposed to look like an artillery round, base of walnut, 'round' made of maple.
Still need to finish it up. Going to try to add an antique brass wash to the walnut somehow.
Wanted it to be easy to clean for meat covered hands by the bbq and still a non typical shape.
Cheers.
You "Skilled" guys can post here,,, just don't be showing off your shaving related stuff. :nono:
;)
He's gonna like that one Mike,,, nice job. :tu
It occurred to me after my last post. I may not have skills in metal wood or leather work. But I can confidently say I can cook. 😁
So hopefully that gets me in.
Tonight I turned.....

Here's a few guitars I built & finished. I didn't mill & route the wood but took care of all else.
I may start another one this summer...

Just for fun, and because I've not done it in ages, I made Chuck beef chilli instead of minced beef chilli.

Onion, red peppers, red pepper, jalapenos, and mustard seed...
House has to be smelling good.
Will let you know how it goes down, the wife is insisting we have it tonight.
I had to add kidney beans as she loves them, I'm not fussed either way on them.
I have a website where I put my recipes but it's being redid.

The metallic finish accents came out well actually. Should provide a barrage of flavor at the grill.
:rofl2:
It looks like real brass.
