We Have Skills Too !!
That's right, the title says it all.
This thread is for the "rest of us",,,who don't make fancy brushes like Pixel, Andrew, Tin Tin, Trimmy and the other brush heads !
For the rest of us who don't make fancy restored razors like Max, Glen, Sharptonn, Mike & now CHEVHEAD !
This thread is for our talent to be displayed, because We Have Skills Too !!
So guys feel free to post your work in this this thread & it don't have to be shaving related.
I'll start it off with my work of art,,,, a leather belt loop , with silver clip attached. I made it over the past two days. You can hang your keys on it, a small umbrella for possible rainy days, a little flashlight, a rabbit's foot or anything that will attach to the clip.
,,,,and No, it's not for sale.
Thanks for looking & post your work.

I'll add some current WIP's
these are a coupe of knives & sheaths made for my Grandson's (12 & 13)
they chose their designs & we went from there
the youngest went for a forged & hammer finished short hidden tang blade with gut hook in cow horn & matching flint
the older went for a slightly larger all stock removal blade with layered G10 scales & matching flint
more polishing & smoothing to go on the sheaths which I am leaving for them to do in their time once handed over
their next visit will be to etch their names etc on the blades & then vinegar dip the lager G10 blade to bring out the Hamon.
thanks for lookingLast edited by Substance; 03-08-2016 at 10:26 PM.

Thanked: 2Nice stuff, guys.
As for me, well ... most of my friends think that my ability to shave with a straight razor is the most impressive and arcane skill ever!

I built and airbrushed these. All are 1/48 scale.

Well first off THANKS for putting me in the company of some BIG BIG names. I really don't think I'm even in the same league but thanks anyways.
Second...that is some AWESOME work you guys have displayed!
I would love to work with leather, make some knives and have the patience to paint like that.
I am IMPRESSED...

My and my closest friend hand pour our own jigs. They are better than anything you will ever buy in a store. We pour/paint/skirt and clear coat.
