Yea that was kind of the idea. Didn't want to make it too modern...

The pencil on the left is straight out of the Mono 100 box.
The pencil on the right has been machined using the two stage manual twistulator which you can see in the pic.

WW243 i must say that is a fine job. perfectly uniform with a nice smooth finish. looks very sharp too. i bet it writes like a dream. do you do custom work?

Bill , very precise and engineered angles with very little wind drag and ergonomically crafted, should be able to write 400 words per minute or able to stab someone in the eye at Mach speed
O.K.,, its not a Swaty, It's actually made by the American Hone Company of Olean, New York; but I call it my Beat Up Swaty.
I have Swaty hones but they are just display. This barber hone has never seen a razor, but is used as much as any other hone in the Sharpening Den(cramped kitchen). I use it to smooth out the edge on my EDC knife & other edged tools. It does a great job!
Some scrap leather & a piece of MoleSkin on the inside to keep the snap off the stone.
It has always just sat in the drying rack until the next use, so I gave it a home of its own out of respect for the fine service it gives me.
Thanks for looking,,,,:)

Oh yeah,, I' let my stones dry at least 3 days before putting them away. This stone is used maybe once a week.
Just saying don't kill it with kindness!;)
I won't,, its my abuse hone....:D
I'm going to pick a nice real Swaty tonight & make a better case.
I bow to you, Pencilmaster
There is a thread here that mentions a you tube video of an artisan pencil sherpener (sharpener as in person who sharpens as opposed to a tool for sharpening with.
OMG,,,,,,,,,,,
Are you any good at wedges? As you can see it is basically NOS.

May need to take it to the stones and do it by hand mate
Don't think that fancy hoot nah will work on those heavy wedge types
Yeah, I'm thinkin 3 layers of tape. Might be better to send it out. Bit nervous with it being new and all.

very nice Geezer, what is it?
Well, I'm pretty sure Geezer fabricates the PF.
I would like to hear the details...kind of metal, how long to turn one out...
Altogether cool...years ago I met a machinist who was making parts for NASA in his home shop. The cottage industry is dead, long live the cottage industry!
The PF's are machined. Solid brass in this case. I do the prototypes and they are now CNC'd stainless steel and hand finished. The Lusso/ Sama was a special request from a friend and I had a blank chunk of brass lying around from a few years back. The handle attachment is cut from brass bar stock and drilled tapped and counterbored into the pf body. Manually, the time would be a day for one or a group. Setup for each tool and position is the time killer. enough awready!!

OK, I know there are more skills out there!! Let's see them!
As promised no more Hubba Bubba Gum pouches for a while,,, so here is a sheath I made for an old Hawkbill knife. I received it from Bruno years ago as an extra when I bought a steak knife from him. It sat in the drawer for a long time, as I could not figure out what to use it for. Then a few months ago I got into these leather projects & found out what a great leather cutter it was on thick leather. I put a 1K edge on it & it slices through old bull belly leather with ease. So I made a sheath for it.
Thanks for looking. :)
