Note 4 for me. Big enough i can see it and it spends its life in a mag mount on the dash of the big truck. It will fit in my back pocket when i need it to but if not on the dash its in a pocket on the side of my lunch box.
Just finished building this.

That’s cool Tony. Fully functional wooden frame model?
Looks like that ‘wood’ have been a hoot to put together...
:tu
A fully functional complete wooden model with almost 500 parts. No glue involved and all parts fit together with extremely tight tolerances, toothpicks included. Doors open on pivots as does the roof opening for the coal tender.
All gears work and drive the wheels of the locomotive through winding up of elastic bands behind the cab.
It was great to put together but I'm more impressed with the hours that went into designing it.
Couple of presents I turned for family members.

And a Christmas tree inspired bottle stop made out of one of the urethane fusion blanks I just made.

Sort of a token gift fir my clan really. Once a bottle is open it rarely needs to be resealed for later, hehehe.
Imbib like you have a ride the next few days men. Just make sure you do.
Have a safe Christmas gentlemen
:chapeau
The bottle stopper is nice Mike, but those pens are just amazing my friend :tu
You do have a lot of skillz Brother
Thanks Dave. Nice of you to say.
I often say the pen is the greatest invention of all time, usually when I give one to someone, hehe.
The chatoyance of this burl is incredible in person. Feels great to twirl these more slender pens in hand then the bigger “cigar” pens I usually turn.
The darker one with gunstock metal tip is an antique oil finish, the lighter one with 24k gold accents, a ca finish.
:)
Wood is sometimes one of nature’s greatest wonders. When the grain is so tight and so figured that even a tiny chard is an eyecatcher, you know you have the best of the best. Combine that that with the skill to turn it into something and the. Finish it up so that all of the beauty shines through, and that is an amazing bunch of gifts. I love those pens. The bottle stopper is super cool too. The wood and acrylic married together is crazy nice stuff.
Anyone can paint a piece of bland aluminium.
Like a snowflake nature will never be repeated !
P.S. I see many holes in my argument but you get my point. :rofl2:
