The Lord Jesus talks about one of his created beings in his book (Holy Bilbe,KJV) that does things through the air because right now his is the prince of it, and that individual is the Devil. Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. Clarence Larkin a Baptist Pastor from Pennsylvania wrote a book on this subject called "The Spirit World", I have read it and taught on it from cover to cover. I recommend this book to anyone to read, along with the Holy Bible.
