In the early eighties I met him through a friend in South Mpls. MN. He was a person I could have gotten to like! His music was of the genre that I liked and could stand to have playing in the background at home.
    RIP!

I never met him person to person but was 5' away from him at 1st Ave. MPLS for about 20 mins, he and his GIANT bodyguard were watching a band in the upstairs area where I was as well. I've never before or since been close to that much charisma, he literally glowed with talent.

I'm a rock and blues guy.
Then you'll probably dig this - he kicks off around the 3:30 mark, although the whole thing is worth a listen. Scary thing is he could play pretty much any instrument at this level. Enjoy!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Not bad. He plays that Telecaster pretty good.

I just heard that, we've lost a lot of musicians already this year.

Well, after researching online about Prince I came to find out what a beautiful human being he was. Humble and true to himself and his artistic talent. A kind hearted soul that seemed awkward as a child when it came to speaking but outgoing and powerful when it came to his music. A good person. Now I know what I was missing and why so many grieved the news. Very sad. RIP.

I have not seen a SuperBowl game for decades. For that reason I have never seen the half time show that Prince did about ten years ago until this morning. Yes, he put on an amazing show, but the defining point came even before the game started. When Prince was called and told about the heavy rain and was asked if it was okay for his show, Prince asked "Can you make it rain harder?"

    Prince was a PERFORMER!
