I find, in general, the delivery services do a really good job. It's just that when things go smoothly we take it for granted and then something bad happens and we all of a sudden take notice.

Yeah I get the whole, "never miss the water...," thing but you have to admit that a trip from Florida to Ohio via California or Florida to New York via Honolulu is a little...

Sometimes things get sorted wrong and then they get routed wrong and that's when your issue occurs. I've had it happen also. It's usually USPS, rarely UPS or FedEx.
I recently had a FedEx package coming from Europe which usually takes two days to arrive and it was routed to practically every country in Europe with comments "Operational Delay".
