    Default I've been thinking

Sometimes I start thinking about things I shouldn't. Like what will happen to my small collection when I'm gone. I don't have the large exotic very expensive collection that a lot of folks have but I do believe i would turn over in my grave if my wife sold my #14 Henckel for 5 bucks. I know she has no idea about straight razors or my honing stones and if I were to buy the farm-go south-push up daises or in other words DIE and leave her with the problem of what to do with these special little toys. What I keep my razors in is the coffin they are in and I made a tag for it stating what i think it's worth. And that's hard because to me they might be worth more to me than there worth but it at least gives her a starting point. I was just wondering if anyone else has thought about this. I see where someone is selling a collection on the bay and they have no idea of the razors value. They are either way to high or way to low.

Anyway i thought i would through this out there. Maybe i should just stop thinking.

My biggest fear is that my wife will sell all of my guns and fishing stuff for what I TOLD her that I paid for it .

I'm gone. It's all material stuff. Don't care. I'm well insured. She will be fine if she throws it all in the trash or some loser tries to rip off a widow.

Funny you mention this Roger, I actually amended my last wishes to include my razor and brush collection to make sure hey go to the right people, when you hint about it, it's no different than our jewelry , guns, motorcycles, homes and other personal possessions, I thought after 3 yeas it was time to make sure they were added. I think that's the best thing to do (assign them off via your will), short of your family needing to sell off your stuff to pay for the funeral.

My wife respects me and knows I don't generally buy junk. If my kids don't want them I respect her enough to know that if she sells em for $5, I believe she'll be doing it only because she knows it's going to a good home. And I'm ok with that.

Leave simple instructions on how to sell them.
    e-Bay
Bidding starts at 100 , because you guys all have shave ready razors worth that at least.
We will handle the rest :<0)

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I don't think she would need the money as we both have retirement from other places and we were not blessed with kids. Just us and the nephews think i'm crazy for using the straights. I just thought if she had an idea what they were worth she would be more careful as to how to sell them and the guns. My Harley well i hope by the time i go it will be ware out like me.

Can I keep the bottle after I pour it out?

I am glad I don't have to sort through my stuff when I die.
