Pardon my confusion, I am not sure which is it then - was he unique in this respect or the same as the other two examples you gave?

It might not have been the best example to lump those three men together.
I should have been more thoughtful in citing examples.

What is obvious is the American people have lost all ability for critical thinking and are easily brainwashed.

I'm not saying Clinton is any gem either.

The real crying shame and astounding fact is how in this country we find ourselves with one these two as the next President. That says it all about our political system.

Maybe the Klingons will come and save us all.
Honestly this situation is exactly the one that I feared most when the candidates were announced. Truthfully I just knew Hillary was getting the Democrat nomination. And my biggest fear was that Trump would actually managed to snake in and steal the Republican nomination.

I'll never in my life understand how every single election the 2 candidates I want to see in office least are the 2 that are chosen.

I've been guilty of telling friends in the past that a vote for a 3rd party is more or less a vote for whatever candidate they don't want to see in office, but I seriously think I'll be voting for Gary Johnson. I can't in good conscience cast a vote for either of the other 2 knuckleheads.

Trump for president and Michele Obama as the 1st lady would be my choice.
Mrs Trump and Mrs Obama apparently share a speech writer. Michele is the cleverer of the two, she might be able to talk some sense into Donald.

It's a toss-up between Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck-I may write-in a protest vote for Pluto. Between these two, that's all I've got.

"LETTER TO THE RNC (An updated version) A MUST READ:

"We don't care if the guy swears... or how many times he's been married...or who he voted for, or what his income tax return shows. We want the problems fixed. Yes he's an egomaniac, but we don't care. We know he's not a racist, or bad to women, or all the other things the liberal media is trying to label him with. We know he's raised a good family, and that says a lot about him.

The country is a mess because politicians suck, the Republican Party is two faced & gutless, and illegals are everywhere and Muslims are openly trying to hurt this country and make the civilized world adjust to them. We want it all fixed!

We don't care that Trump is crude, we don't care that he insults people, we don't care that he has changed positions, we don't care that he fights with Megan Kelly, Rosie O'Donnell, and so many of the elected establishment. We don't care that Rubio, Cruz, Ryan, the Bush's, and so many other top old and new Republicans refuse to endorse him for their own selfish reasons, and we know what they are. We don't care that he doesn't know the name of some Muslim terrorists, we don't care that he tried a few businesses that didn't work out.

This country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, we are being invaded by illegals, we are becoming a nation of victims, where every Tom, Dick, and Harry is a special group with special rights to a point where we don't even recognize the country we were born and raised in, AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED. And TRUMP is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want.

We're sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic and Republican Party. We're angry about the Iran deal, the budget, treatment of Israel, military weakness, lobbyists, special interests, overpaid politicians with their self serving bills and back room deals, trade deals, loss of jobs, manipulated economic numbers, businesses fleeing, and even the phony pay for play Clinton Foundation.

Americans are no longer going to be fooled, and the movement is out to change the direction we're taking. Trump may not be a saint, but he doesn't have lobbyist money holding him, he doesn't have political correctness restraining him, and all you know is that he has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built a lot of things, he's flexible, and he's also not a politician. And he says he'll fix it. And we believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong or looked at and called a liar.

Public service has become elected greed. This may be our only chance to have a non-politician, despite his flaws, try and correct the mess, at least for 4 years. We must take the shot, because the consequences of putting Hillary Clinton in office are frightening. There is a tidal wave happening, and its going to overcome much of what's happened to this country......

    TRUMP for president !!!!!!!!!

    Hypocrisy...

Liberals always seem to be bragging they are the smartest people in the room, right up until they get caught with their "Finger on the Scales" "Hand in the cookie jar" "With their own Server" "Cheating" "Lying" "In Court" or "Under Indictment"

Then all of a sudden they "Can't remember anything or don't know anything about it" :P

And it is all somebody else's fault in 3-2-1 GO

So, recently I re-habbed a house. I had some ideas of what I want done, a bit on the unconventional side, but not too unusual, like a sink in the garage and convert the rafters in the garage for storage and so it could be insulated.

The property was vacant and we planned on changing out all the doors and windows, new kitchen and baths, replacing all the flooring, re-wiring and installing LED lighting, replacing a lot of drywall and re texturing all the walls and ceilings, and we were prepared to pay, so pretty much, it was a blank canvas.

Contractor after contractor came by and told me, why this or that, could not be done, code, permits, cost, too much work…

Then one guy came by, listened to what we wanted, nodded then said this is what you need to do and this is how it can be done and it will cost about this much.

Who do you think we hired? And it came out great, permitted, to code and under budget.

Perhaps that is the attraction to Trump, he is at least willing to try, that he has a proven track record of getting things done… doesn’t hurt.

Thanks Gugi for attempting to address my original question. I guess it's just too difficult for everyone to stay away from picking sides. I really was serious about this question. It actually has a lot to do with Gssixgun letter below. Why do we keep supporting groups who have shown to continuously lie to us over significant time without penalty?

Gssixgun, Although you may not believe me I actually agree with the majority of your comments in this letter. The only question I have for you is would you vote for him if was running as an Democrat? Or a Libertarian? Or any other party affiliation? And what about the congressional members etc......

Before you answer let me ask another question. How can any of us expect to see real change. I mean the kind of change your outlining in your letter. If the people we put in charge to make these changes are part of an historical hypocrisy of organized control then can it really happen. I think not. Regardless of how much one would claim to be unaffected by the tentacles, when you lay with dogs you wake up with fleas.

3 thoughts: Strict 1 term limit for all politicians, abolish the party system and remove the money. Each politician would have the freedom to represent the opinions and values of their constituents and then spend 100% of their time in office working on what would benefit the country.

Now that's a system I could get behind but do "we the people" have the balls to make it happen"?
Keep your concentration high and your angles low!

Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

    Toronto Canada

Doesn't really matter much what you think

Sorry,,, but that is simply me being honest, I look though these threads and realize that most of the people posting are either not from the US, or are only here to make money in the US.

So about 80% of all your opinions mean zero nada zip IMHO..

    As a Libertarian

Gary Johnson is simply a fruitloop and would NEVER get my vote.. If there were a real Libertarian Candidate running I would consider it..

I actually like Trump, and I really like the fact that he is NOT a Republican per se, the appeal to me is that all of the "fringe" hates him,, The Far Right and the Loony Left..

To give you perspective I liked Rand Paul but I was part of a small minority, and in my state I never even got the option to vote for him in the primary...

To me it is very simple

    Hillary is worse then Obama
    Johnson is a Joke

Yep I am voting Trump all the way...

Or simply read the last paragraph of the letter I posted,,,

"Public service has become elected greed. This may be our only chance to have a non-politician, despite his flaws, try and correct the mess, at least for 4 years. We must take the shot,"

    a Non-Politician I will take that chance
