My fear with Trump is that the Trump you see and hear is not the real Trump. You need to ask someone who is from NYC who grew up the same time as him about his antics.
No he is not the great business man you all think he is. He inherited his money whether you want to believe that or not and he used business failure and loopholes in the law to build his empire. He's like the bank robber in prison who says to the FBI get me out and I'll help you catch bank robbers because I'm the best at it.He and his family are products of privilege and they don't give a damn about the people and don't have a clue what it is to be a working man only the prize they seek.
If you are all fed up with what's going on in the country don't blame the Republicans or the Democrats instead go to your nearest mirror and go blame yourselves because it's YOU who elect these people. You don't want to compromise? You want it your way? You want the country back?
I'm afraid Il Duce ain't gonna do it either. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 734Let's just take it easy there. First, a Trump may not end up being all we hope. I KNOW Clinton won't be anything I hope for. And no, we don't need to look in the mirror because individually we have to choose from what the collective wants. We have to elect someone so we choose from what options we have. But neither was my choice in the primaries.

Thanked: 3215Yea, it matters.
Just look at what 8 years of Obama did for this country.
And he and Mrs O made 18 million. Not counting the swiss account funded by the Clinton Global Initiative.
Mrs O, who does not have a job, made 11.8 million…

There are many people who don't have a job and invest and make millions and billions. Now who could one of those folks be? Not Mr trump by any chance.
before you answer consider are questionable political practices any better or worse than questionable business practices. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

It's a free country and you are free to waste as much of your time as you want. Whether you cast your vote for Trump or not makes exactly zero difference as he will get all of the electoral votes of your state, just like Clinton will get all of my state.
The problem Trump has is in places like Ohio. His supposedly great negotiating skills weren't enough to get the people in charge of the republican organizations in Ohio to support him. And for all his supposed wealth he doesn't want to pay people to run effective on-the-ground operation to mobilize support.
Idaho, NY, CA, TX, OK, etc. don't matter; Ohio, Florida, Michigan, etc. do.

Hirlau, since I'm the OP you referenced allow me to explain the intention of my post instead of your guess. My question was a very clear one. Responses could have easily been "they've done a good job and here's why" or "failed and here's why". The intention was to start a rational dialog on the subject raised. Nothing more.
Please refer to response to Hirlau above. No party bashing intended. I can't help it is some responders feel the need to not address the original question. Of course some simply don't care to.
As stated earlier and agreed to by Glen "Shaving discussions on 1st floor". This is an appropriate place to try to have a rational discussion about any political subject.Keep your concentration high and your angles low!
Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.
