During my high school years I struggled with English from grade nine; but I always got my "C" at report card time.

I had expressed to my coach that I was struggling in my English class. He said, "Let me worry about your English class, you just wrestle."

It wasn't until mid-December of that year's wrestling season that I understood why.
While we were away at a tournament, my English teacher showed up as a chaperone. She stayed with my coach.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Up in these parts 6 miles was around the corner. We had to walk over two ridges to get to the one room school and then chop wood for it as our P.T.

I remember one winter cousin Willie was chased by a bear for five miles when he finally collapsed in a meadow and when the bear caught up with him he passed him like he was standing still and that's cause the bear was being chased by a pack of wolves.

Willie always had white hair and I guess that incident is how he got it.
