    Default Hair tonic??

I'm curious. Does anyone still use the old hair tonics like Vitalis, Wildroot, Lucky Tiger, Jeris, etc?

If so, why? What is the benefit or advantage of them?

I know it used to be popular at barbershops back in the day (whenever "the day" was) and greasers from the 50's used them but what about today?

Everyday, Lucky Tiger, Pashana and Pinaud. The are very good for your hair and scalp. Conditioning lightly as well as providing a natural control not sticky or firm hold just control.

I use Groom&Clean in the winter 'cause my hair gets dry and it moisturizes and keeps my hair in place. I don't use nothing in the summer 'cause I work outdoors alot and sweat like crazy. Anything I put in my hair will end up in my eyes or face with sweat.

I love the smell of Lucky Tiger, have a bottle that I use every now and again, for special occasions.

I used to use hair tonic every day. Keep your hair healthy, they said. Encourages growth, they said. Thick curly locks, they said.

    James,

Are you sure you're not getting confused with Rogaine??

So, those that use either Pinaud or Lucky Tiger:

Do you order them online or can they be had at a Sally's Beauty Supply ?

Right now, I'm using the Clubman styling gel in the big round tub but I don't like it anymore. I love the smell and it doesn't last long so it doesn't clash with my cologne but I don't like the greasy feeling that it leaves (even though it's not supposed to).

That is what it does and there are different levels the more oil the more control and condition the oil free will calm your hair down and condition as well as the had a nice smell.

I use Pashana and Pinaud on occasion. They do help control your hair, though the smell, while pleasant, is strong and long-lasting. My gf complained on occasion that she couldn't smell my cologne, just the hair treatment.
