Having total right knee replacement tomorrow at the Edw. Hines VA hospital near Chicago. Lot's of surgeries under my belt but the older I get the harder it is on my mind! LOL;-)

Thanked: 1936I will include your safe surgery and a swift recovery in my prayers. My mom did a total replacement and is quite mobile, she wishes she had done both at the same time.

With knee replacement the surgery is nothing. It's all a matter of the therapy afterwards that is all important and not so easy.

Good luck! I have known a few people that have had new knees. They seem to becoming akin to oil changes!

Hang in there David,,, there is lots of ice cream at the nursing station,, ask for it.
