Those Things Which Touch You
And no, this thread ain't about girlfriends or hookers.
For me, it's always been music. (Well, and books, but I'm usually listening to music when I read...or do anything else, for that matter). Lately though, I've discovered a few CDs that really just bomb me (In a good way). The soundtracks to Pirates of the Caribbean (I & III), along with Gladiator (both the original score and the additional soundtrack), and The Lord Weird Slough Feg (don't ask). Just outstanding, and great to grind blades to. What are you listening to that just blows you away?

Thanked: 1587Nothing touches me - I am a rock!
No, Jeff Buckley's voice blows me away - I've been listening to his Grace album a fair bit lately.
Beyond that, some specific music like Camille Saint-Saƫns' organ symphony (no. 3 in C minor). Here's a snippet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxpbL_CvoiA
(Sorry for the weird video clip, but it's the only one I found on youtube that was short)

Many songs by Leonard Cohen, especially if he's not singing them.

Ah Leonard - what a talent. But you're right - shame about the voice. I'd put Dylan in that category too, but maybe that's just me.

I'd have to say Bob Dylan (bad voice and all) and Native American flute music by anyone.

The Truman Show (With Jim Carey) really touched me.
As for music: Novastar live. (I've seen em 3 times so far) can almost make me cry.
Also Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds acoustic in Amsterdam had my eyes and ears riveted to the stages.
Feeder live in Amsterdam as well. Anyone who isn't affraid of something new should check out all of the above.
