Zacherley The Cool Ghoul R.I.P.
He made it to 98. A real good run. You have to be a 'certain age' to know who he was.

Rest in peace, Mr. John Zacherle.
Our local ghoul is John "Count Gregore" Ferguson who has been a Horror Show Host since 1958.
Count Gregore first appeared in SHOCK THEATER on WKY-TV in Oklahoma City on May 10, 1958.
He has hosted several Horror Shows over the years and is still playing Count Gregore today.Rog

Zacherle worked as a DJ on one of the FM stations in NYC for many years after his show ended. He was a very popular guy in NYC. I met him once.

I remember watching him on Saturday mornings if it was raining outside... He goes back a looong way.
