Worst weekend of the year, yes indeed!
Thursday I was at the yearly christmas lunch with the firm. The food was tasty and everything was good. We danes like alcohol and a lot of it. Late at night a colleague of mine broke my credit card into pieces… I got mad, no I was furious! And it’s not often for me to be so. I pushed him and not many seconds later we were seperated by other colleagues. Everything after that is a little foggy. I’m ordering a cab to go home to a friend but I can’t find my new jacket. I’ve only had it for 2 week and it’s been on my body for under an hour all in all. It’s stolen. Next day I would literally jump off a bridge to save me from this hangover. I lost the broken pieces, so the first thing I do is call my bank and have them to block my credit card. Not many hours later I realise how stupid that was. I have no cash, i’m 2 hours from home, on my way home I need to cross a bridge that you need to pay for. Netflix and eBay is not working. Nothing, el zero! There I realise yet again how addicted i am to that damn credit card. I transfer some money to a friends bank account, so that he can go to a ATM. I was really happy for my new jacket, so i’m thinking i’ll buy another one. I call the Helly hansen store where I bought the jacket to find out that they’re sold out. It’s now Saturday and the hangovers are almost gone. I’m ready to drive home. But the car won’t start! I’m calling a car rescue company, they’ll send a guy within a hour. He can’t get it started so it’s been transported back to my home city where my usual mechanic lives. It can only be better from now on!

We have a saying here "you make your bed and then you sleep in it". You only have yourself to blame.

I'd go back to the place where the party started, take some cash, leave the credit cards, the car, your jacket, go by yourself,,get wasted with the cash you have. Then start the journey all over again,,,,

I learned that when I lose my temper, it only ends up costing me money and or injury. The same goes with heavy drinking. All the best.

Thanked: 4826If I had a dollar for overtime shit went sideways and the story starts with I was out drinking and...
Canadians like their booze too. I have a history, as does much of my family. I have not had a hangover in over 20 years.
The stories became more sensible too.
Helly Hansen make some really nice coats. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I travel some for my living. I use a credit card exclusively, but keep a hundred dollars hidden away. You never know when the card may not work, or get lost.
