Certainly the greatest generation.
I heard today that there are only 5 men still alive that were on the U.S.S. Arizona - 4 will attending the ceremony today - all of them in their 90's. Below is the U.S.S. Arizona in her former glory.

Not taking anything away from the incident but if the U.S had gone to war with the Japanese in the Pacific with the Arizona and the others that were demolished that day we might very well all be speaking Japanese today.
