Victorian Farm
I thought you gents might enhoy a TV series I am watching. It is called Victorian Farm. Three people work a farm using tools and techniques used by farmers in Victorian Britain. I'm currently watching the Christmas episodes where they are doing winter farm activities while preparing for Christmas. There are several similar series where they farm in different eras. There is also a Victorian Pharmacy series. I'm watching the episodes on Youtube.

I love that show, think I've seen several seasons, that red headed woman scares me though.....I think she's the Witch, but a Good Witch.

She does have a pointy nose.
The episode I was watching tonight, Victorian Christmas pt. 2, had they men making bricks by hand and restoring a blacksmith shop. I think they will be shoeing a horse un the next episode.

My wife and I enjoyed watching that series, and the other "spin offs." Kind of like reality TV but with class.

One of the things I like about the show is they are trying to learn how things were done, so they consult period experts, books, etc. and then try it out.

I am hooked! Watched all the episodes on YouTube and am now watching Edwardian Farm. I saw a blip of them using a cut throat and a strop. I absolutely love the information and the first hand experience. It reminds me of how good I have it!
