"Spinal Tap" live music moments you've witnessed?
I was chatting with another member recently about a live music experience I witnessed that I will never forget and thought I'd start a thread for people to share crazy, bizarre live music related experiences they've had.
My first story:
Thunder Bay, Ontario 1990
The Inntowner bar located in a Holiday Inn if I recall correctly (apparently no longer there and is now a parking lot).
Some friends and I saw a live cover band. The singer decked out in spandex sang using a cordless headset mic. The place was packed that night. Mid-song, the singer jumps off stage, makes his way through the crowd as everyone watched him head to the Men's room. He was in there for a few minutes, came out, made his way back through the crowd, jumping back on stage before the song ended. Perhaps not that crazy except that....the singer continued to sing the song while in the bathroom presumably tapping a kidney! Can't make it up!"Blues fallin' down like hail." Robert Johnson
"Aw, Pretty Boy, can't you show me nuthin but surrender?" Patti Smith

Thanked: 101I saw the Business (RIP Micky Fitz) and Madball at Coney Island High in NYC in 1996 and watched a kid get his head stomped flat in the pit before paramedics showed up and carried him off. He later died that night from what I heard. Usually all the shows I saw ended up in police involvement or bloodshed. Those were some crazy days!
