Default Good deed of the day

I was thinking we need a thread like this to share our experiences that were positive and made us feel good. You know when you go out of your way to do good even when you don't have to. There has been a lot of negativity going around lately so we need some serious positivity.

Today I was in welding class at the college I am attending. Last block of schooling!! Very excited to get it over with. Off topic so back we go. While I was in welding class one of the international students from India was having trouble TIG welding. He came up to me and asked me for help. I could have easily told him to go ask the instructor because I was busy too. I ended up spending the better part of an hour (on and off) teaching him and he was very grateful for it. It felt good to help someone in need and I also made a friend.

It may not have been a huge thing, but knowing how grateful he was really made me feel like I did the right thing. Paying it forward.

So what was your good deed today?

At Sally's Beauty Supply last week there were two bottles of Pinaud left; I only bought one and left one for someone else.

...Okay, I will try tomorrow to do a real nice deed.

Just ordered my dad a Mekur 34c as well as some other shaving goodies. That counts as a good deed right?

The mod team decided to reopen this thread.

Let's confine it to the thread title, and not get into arguments over motives that we can't possibly assume to know. As my dear departed Mother used to tell me ....

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

(she really did tell me that BTW)

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Mine used to tell me that too, and when I forgot I would get my mouth washed out with Lava soap. The old kind had pretty coarse grit in it!
