I take it that there was some kind of a sporting event this last weekend.

Gee I guess I need to get out more.

But why of all places did someone have to steal Brady's Jersey here in Texas? How dishonorable is that? I could understand if they were in Boston, but Texas?
Are you putting in a bid, John?

He has his jersey. All about more hype. Milk it! JMO.

    Dead Serious!

Oh I'd noticed the piles and piles of beer, chips, other snacks etc in the grocery stores. However since I retired from a Corporate Grocery Chain after almost 37 years I'd presumed that the Super Bowl would be taking place. However these displays are put up weeks before the actual event so--

I don't take the paper, and rarely listen to regular radio and the online radio station that I do listen to doesn't generally have any type of news.

It may come as a shock to some but the outcome of any sporting event including the Super Bowl really doesn't effect my life in any way.

By the way Drew Bledsoe (former quarterback for the Patriots) graduated from High School here in Walla Walla WA and I've met him so I'm not ignorant about football, it's just not something that matters to me.

Back to writing an supportive email to an old friend who is dying of cancer. Now That Matters!

Well I'm very humbled by your response Roy. You're right, football in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter. Friends do! My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to your friend!

    Oh well. Super bowl thread.
Was a great game. Falcons fought the good fight til after the half.
Hatin' on Brady and the Pats does no good. Tried that!

Other teams need to have the staff and the ability to adjust the team at the half.
The quarterback position is but one of the facets to consider.
Always seems to be down to the coaching staff and stand-up athletes that attracts the talent.
Solid, work together, stay together. Football is a lot like life.
    JMHO

    Only way to explain it.

Football is over for some now.
    Personally, I am glad!
