I see what you mean, the wearing of team jerseys and all, Leafs vs the Habs, difference is I guess, is one PM led us through a major recession, the other is spending us into one, while tagging hugely regressive laws along the way, while in so many ways, completely above his pay grade to lead this country, he got elected on name and pedigree, and in some ways, I hope he gets his plan to only show up for work once a week, gets through the ability to simply virtually pass legislation by decree, because when Justin get's turfed next election, it will be that much easier to repair the damage of another Liberal government that lied it's way into power and settles back into scandal, cheating, cash-for-access, and other typical Liberal behaviour.
Justin so far has broken every single promise he's made, took him less that a year to do it too, that must be a record for Liberals - almost beat McGuinty in his, "No new taxes" pledge....LOL.
One of the reasons I've always only ever voted NDP or Conservative, they have platforms, the Liberals, at least from my point of view, just say whatever they need to say to get elected, then do whatever they want while they line their pockets and those of their friends.
I can only pray, that the Liberals time in Ontario is done for a long, long, time, but with the amount of civil servants in this Province who will vote to keep their own noses in the trough as long as possible, that enough people will finally get out and throw the McGuinty/Wynne hard drive erasing, bribing, corrupt incompetent thieves out.
Cancel a couple of billion dollar gas plants for political gain, make your friends rich with "Green Energy" schemes that drive the price of hydro where we have business leaving in droves, and people having to choose between heating their homes and eating.
To think, Ontario out ranks California, that's right, California, as the highest non-sovereign holder of debt, the engine of Canada, now the poorest, and Justin is doing his best to take us down the same road....all being pulled by the same puppet master, Gerald Butts who destroyed Ontario and has now moved onto Canada, while Justin takes his shirt off anytime anyone asks him a tough question, and pops a selfie as policy.....
Oh well, as Descartes's states - " I rant, therefore I am".....

Thanked: 3228Now tell us how you really feel.
As far as Ontario being the engine of Canada that went out the window 30 years ago with the signing of NAFTA. Nothing wrong with NAFTA as free trade is the new world order and Ontario's manufacturing sector is gone because of it. those jobs have yet to be replaced by an equally financially rewarding type of employment for displaced workers. Same all over the industrialized western world. Hard to blame any particular political party for that, they all went along with it.
And now back to our regular scheduled programing.

Yup, that about sums it up...makes me think about Oshawa 30 years ago versus today...you're right, kind of sums it all up.
I'm starting to agree with Bill Gates idea, you want to automate using robots? Fine, we'll tax each robot like it was a worker....but agreed, they've all gone along with it and that boat sailed.
And in line with the OP's post, guess it's all the guys fault....

Reminds me of these lyrics from the song, At The Hundredth Meridian:
Driving down a corduroy road
Weeds standing shoulder high
Ferris wheel is rusting
Off in the distance
At the hundredth meridian
At the hundredth meridian
At the hundredth meridian
Where the great plains begin
Left alone to get gigantic
Hard, huge and haunted
A generation so much dumber than it's parents
Came crashing through the window--Mark

A man should never initiate violence against a woman. He should never strike a woman because he is angry, or he thinks "she deserves it". However, if she is beating the hell out of him, he has every right to stop it. This happened to me, with a woman (girl actually) that I was not in a relationship with. This girl was a bully with a history of beating boys up, and using her gender as a shield. She attacked me, and without reservation, I fought back. She never bothered me again, nor acted as a bully again, towards anyone. I would do the same thing today, in the same situation.

Thanked: 481My grandmother taught us that young men never pick fights, and should never hit a lady.
She also taught the young ladies of the family that a lady never starts a fight.
But both genders were allowed to finish it should one ensue. Far as I'm concerned, any woman starting is fight is no lady and has forfeited her right to be treated as such.
As for the topic at hand, it's probably a good thing that booth doesn't exist here. Because my next act of hyper-masculinity would be to erect another beside it where women could confess their sins of hyper-femininity. See how they feel about their gender being turned into a thought crime.

Thanked: 481You know on second thought, maybe one of those booths would be Kinda fun. I could spend all day in there.
"Forgive me Mother, for I have sinned since birth. I was born with a Ka-Bar in one hand and a 1911 in the other. When the doctor spanked me, I didn't cry. But he did, a little. When I stabbed him in the chest..."
"I had a full beard by my second birthday. My first straight shave at 2 and a half. Killed my first commie by 3 years old..."
Few hours later, "...so after I saved that baby from the burning building, I hopped up on my trusty bear-steed, rode over the Rockies, then turned South to learn bare-knuckle boxing from Natives in Arizona..."
You could really have some fun with that booth.
