...now I know this is not a sports forum, but the game of hockey is a gentleman's game and in the tradition of the chase for Lord Stanley's Cup it is the practice of the players and fans alike to get a final shave before the first playoff game begins and not shave again until they have either won the Stanley Cup or have been knocked out of the playoffs. superstition of the jinx, no time for anything else that does not involve hockey, eat, sleep, crap and play hockey are among a few of reasons behind this tradition. By the time the final round of games start you will notice some magnificent beards on most all of the players and the die hard fans. So as part of my yearly ritual my last shave was Tuesday evening and will not shave again until the New York RANGERS have won The Cup or have been knocked out. I am for the first time saddened by not shaving as I have truly come to enjoy my evening shave. The razors have been winterized as I would like to say, hopefully for a long glorious run at The Cup. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
