Thanked: 3795RIP Adam West
I just read that Adam West has passed away at 88. He will be Batman forever.
HERE is an article about him.
Here is something he said a few years ago:
When Batman was canceled, “The only thing I thought is that it would be the end of me, and it was for a bit,” he told an audience at Comic-Con in 2014. “But then I realized that what we created in the show … we created this zany, lovable world.
“I look around and I see the adults — I see you grew up with me, and you believe in the adventure. I never believed this would happen, that I would be up here with illustrious people like yourselves. I’m so grateful! I’m the luckiest actor in the world, folks, to have you still hanging around.”
Thank you Mr. West. You gave us a lot a laughs over the years and you will continue to do so for many more. Same bat time, same bat channel.

Yeah without doubt the most corny zany show ever but as a kid I loved it still do if I'm honest especially Catwoman in her leather Cat suit.

A classic show from an era with 5 channels and no remote control. Batman and other shows from that period (The Addams Family and Gilligan's Island) gave my cartoon addiction some serious competition.
RIP Adam West! I really loved your dry as gin comic talent.--Mark

Thanked: 3795So, in case anyone wondered, Adam West had a sense of humor…
Check out what he did in his local phone book. (Remember them?)

Adam West was born here in Walla Walla, moved to the Seattle area when his parents divorced. He returned to attend Whitman College here.
He returned on occasion and those who I know who met him have said he was a very gracious man; a humble man.
I hope this link will work for those interested in what the local paper wrote. The Paper's Hierarchy has imposed a limit of 5 'free views' per month.

Thanked: 4206A truly super hero to young imaginations he always was. My favorite Batman, and a very funny addition to Family guy in his later years.
