Not often they pose for you like that Bob. Nice photo.

By keeping the body in the shade, but letting the tail sunbath??
Sumthin like that.
Sprawled out in the crotch of a shady tree, with the wind at your tail.
I'd like to have gotten the one where he was laying flat on a limb, with its legs hanging over each side of the limb.
Just flopped out like an old rag, it was. But it'd moved to this location when I returned for a pic.
Flopped out you say----------

Is that a '60 Chrysler Newport Town And Country?
Its a New Yorker.!
Prehistoric, land yacht
You could fit several bodies in the trunks of those old land boats.
Lots of room in the back seat, too.! If ya know what I mean. :rofl2:
My Dad had a Plymouth Fury he gave me. We used to go out to the raceway on Friday nights to watch the drag races. They charged by the person so we'd put one guy in the passenger seat and 3 or 4 people in the trunk to go through the gate.
It was like driving the USS Saratoga.
I had one of those. Almost got stuck in an underground parking lot. Damn thing was so long, I couldn’t turn the corner without doing a back and forth several times. Still wound up scraping a fender on the concrete. Then the back end bottomed out on the ramp. What a beast.
One of the Drive In's that my buddies and I used to go to charged by the person. While other's did try the 'Stuff the extras in the trunk' the theater had people who walked the isles watching for people being smuggled in and most got caught then kicked out without the refund for the people that they did pay for. Needles to say we never tried it.
Which brings to mind this Classic. At a bit under 10 minutes it's a bit long but damn does it bring back the memories--

The drive in outside of the small town I grew up in charged by the car, however they were only about a mile and a half from town and kids would walk out, then climb the fence and hope they could find someone who would let them sit in their car.
Yeah some people got caught but unlike the drive-in at the drag strip you parked and got out to sit in the bleachers. This was just the Saturday night races NOT the Gator Nationals. You couldn't get away with that at that race. I don't think they really cared as much Saturday nights
:OT
I had one of these as a teen. 1965 Olds 98 L.S.
4 in the trunk, 4 across each seat. A little cramped with 12 people in it but it could be done. I remember counting the light bulbs on the inside and it was around 50 bulbs. In the ashtrays and all. The Memories! I stole the picture off the web but mine was exactly like this one. Color, hubcaps and all.

Nice. Here's my first car. Again stolen off the web but my car was identical, same color scheme and everything. 1962 Plymouth Valiant. At that time it was just some ugly car. Now it would be, " Whoa! Look at that cool old thing!"
Attachment 323018
It had the 170 slant 6 and the 3 on the tree. I actually would like to drive that car again...one more time, then I'm good.
I've never owned a car, just trucks. This was my first..

I've owned a bunch of trucks too but it's harder to put surf racks on a truck. You can put them in the back but I've had one catch a draft and go aloft. I heard a noise. "What was that?" Then see it in the rearview land in the ditch like an arrow. It must have shot 50 feet in the air.
