Speaking of wet tobacco.
I smoke black cavendish.
Have for years.
I used to buy it at K-mart and it was um.... Blenders Choice?
I know, I know, K-mart tobacco
Well you're gonna love this then.
Now the only place I can find it is Walgreens.
I forget the name but it costs about $10 for a 12 oz bag.
The flavor is OK but not what the K-mart stuff was. Go figure !
Main problem is that it is very hard to keep lit. I feel like a Rodney Dangerfield joke about smoking hash.
" I couldn't get the corned beef to stay lit! I tell you what !"
I have two questions.
1) can someone suggest a good way to dry it without leaving it on a sheet pan on the counter for a week?
This doesn't seem to wrok very well anyway.
2) other brands that are about $20 a pound??
3) other flavors that would appeal to me someone might suggest?

or perhaps a good (cheap) tobacco from a supplier tha could be blended to make it burn better?
Thing is, I go through something like a pound a month
anyone have any resources for making your own cavendish??
I'm pretty sure I could grow under a tarp or canopy here in FL.
mmmmmm..... home grown....

Thanked: 346That tobacco is treated with propylene glycol to keep it moist - there is no way to dry it out short of moving to a desert - it will suck the moisture from the air to keep itself damp.
If you have a tobacconist in your town then I'd pay him a visit and tell him what you're currently smoking (bring a sample just in case). Most every quality tobacco company sells an upscale equivalent of the drugstore brands that will burn cleaner, drier, and with a better taste and aroma. Get a few (3-4) ounces of this, and mix it in with your walgreens tobacco. That should improve things quite a bit.

There are a great bunch of guys that sit on an IRC channel pipes. They will answer all the the questions listed here in real time for you. This is my asuming you have mIRC offcourse.
I personally smoke Samual Gawiths Full Va and in general just flaked straight Va's. I have yet to be dissapointed with burn quality, flavour, aroma and thier ability to get a good lasting cake in bowl. I buy 5lb at a time and store down at least 2 times a year. When aged they take on a whole new charactor. I have lots of URL's for pipe resources if anyone wants them, just pm me.
Someone mentioned wanting a $50 pipe. I have bought some great pipes on Ebay for a lot less than that and top makers too. Ask lots of questions and demand more pictures before you buy though.
I am a big on Castello and Cavichi pipes and for the higher cost you do get what you pay for and hand crafted as well. take a look http://www.agide.com/english/index.htm

Try here, too. I'll second the recommendation for Pipes for Less/Knoxville Cigars as well.
