Sam Shepard, 73, a great actor of many good films passed away on July 27, 2017 of Lou Gehrig's disease.

I thought his portrayal of Chuck Yeager in "The Right Stuff" was pretty interesting. He looks nothing like Yeager.
I thought he was pretty right on as the somewhat clueless husband of a beautician (played by Dolly Parton) in "Steel Magnolias".
A good actor.
His acting style kinda reminded me of Sam Elliott. I like that.
