Default Eclipse Plans - "Day of Darkness"

Post up your plans and pics during and after the up coming Eclipse on Monday

I am planning on being just south of Pearl Island in the middle of Lake Pend Oreille sitting on the boat at 9am local time to watch the event progress

We are out of the 100% corridor but in the plus 80%

Right where that little red dot is on the pic hehehehe

Looking forward to seeing and hearing about what you are doing

    No solar eclipse here. Enjoy!

St. Joseph, MO airport for me! supposedly a really big watch party.

Can't help but think i'll be experiencing the eclipse from the side of the highway though... with how unpredictable Kansas City traffic can be. Either way I'm sure I'll enjoy it. 100% eclipse over here!

I will be just outside my office wearing dorky glasses and trying to take pics. I work near a planetarium and I'm going to hang out at their event.

I'm about 1.5 hours north of totality. Many people I know are traveling down there to view. It's going to be wild in those areas.

I going to run naked down the Main Street; with the eclipse no one will see me.

    Independence Day, Glen?

For my money that was Randy Quaid's second best character, cousin Eddie being the best.

I saw in the local news the county health department sold some of the bogus viewing glasses and sold them. Apparently this isn't uncommon.

Here is one piece in how to spot the fakes.
