Just heard this on the news, unbelievable, buddy of mine saw him in Toronto not a year ago....66, a young man....what a legendary loss.

Seems that there is a huge controversy on the news of Tom Petty's death and no one seems to know for sure if he is dead or not. I've read that CBS erroneously reported his death earlier. The radio station that I listen to reported that he had died and was playing nothing but his music in a tribute. I saw something posted somewhere by his daughter that read "my dad isn't dead yet but your magazine is."
Hopefully something will come along soon to clarify this.
In the meantime we can only hope for the best.

Well it's confirmed now, RIP Tom Petty, you struggled and hung on for awhile, but have begun the next journey....Godspeed Tom Petty!!
