Thanked: 315I remember my Dad telling me when he was a LEO (this was before I was born) that they would often get calls whenever a man would take his panther out for a walk.
Good thing they aren't putting out food for them. That would have been a mistake. I know there are people in the rural areas around Atlanta that put corn out for the deer.

Yea, nothing like having an exotic pet! Just ask Charla Nash.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

There are several large islands within the city limits that are residential/industrial mix. People here used to drive there and leave food out for the deer until the city banned the practice. I used to rake up my crab apples and take there for the deer but now they go in the garbage.

I have only ever been close up to a lynx once, but what an impressive sight! My sister's (part wolf) dog chased one up a tree. The tree was down a ravine, so when the lynx climbed up, he was more or less at eye level to me, about 15m away. Such a beautiful animal.
As my brother in law said, it'd a good thing the lynx didn't turn to fight: "it would have been like fighting a lawn mower".
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
