    Default Bikes around Denver

I don't know the story but, You can find these bicycles parked all over the Denver area for use by anyone! Kids and adults both use them. You can see people biking around town on them often. They are parked in front of stores and bus stops and other places around town. As I said, I don't know the story behind it but I'm guessing someone is helping folks to get around and had a lot of money to have these bikes made and placed all over the place. They stick out being those colors for sure. Not fancy so I guess they are not stolen (Maybe). Just thought is was a nice thing someone or some group has done.

I see them around here to. I believe it's a business - you pay for it and unlock it with an app on your phone. I haven't done it yet, but I should give it a try some day. It looks pretty cheap $1 for 30min

The question is if it's a viable thing. I seem to remember seeing in the news sometime in the last few months that a company that tried to do this couldn't make it as their bikes kept getting stolen or abused so the operating costs were higher than they anticipated.

    Time will tell.

Thanks for the reply Gugi. I really didn't know anything about them. I just see them everywhere. Good choice on the colors as they sure stick out!

Ft. Collins Colorado has a similar program. You can get more information at this link Fort Collins Bike Share – Bike Fort Collins
