Thread: It's Labor day Weekend in the U.S.

So what great plans do you have for the long weekend?

My friend Mr L has big plans. He gonna be riding the roads in the U.S. It's always a great weekend for him. He's all excited and his sidekick Mr Death can't contain himself.

Drive safely and be alert!

Staying home off the road tonight but traveling to a friends tomorrow morning. Hopefully I will avoid the zoo and Mr. Death. Back home hopefully early and then the rest of the weekend will be spent cleaning and arranging the garage.

I need to find a new place to hang my scythe.

Labour Day long weekend up here too. Also a good idea to stay off the roads here too for the same reasons. Will be staying home for the most part and avoiding all the fun hopefully.

I plan to reflect upon the U.S. labor movements of the late 19th-early 20th century, and all the gains that they strove for and to some extent provided us with for a good part of the 20th century. Things like the weekend, the 40-hour work week, paid vacations, guaranteed retirements with pension, medical coverage, etc.
