Cool A Good Man, and Thorough: The Genius of ‘The Big Lebowski’

A great look back on the genius of the Coen brothers laugh-riot film, "The Big Lebowski."

I've loved this filmmaking duo since well before "Fargo" (still warms my heart to the core hearing that my bro's father-in-law thought that this was the most disgusting, worthless film he ever partially watched...poor baby) and this one tickled my funny bone nearly as much as "Raising Arizona." Jeff Bridges' best film since "Starman," and Goodman also kills it.

20 year anniversary. Dang...I feel so old now.

Yep, that's one of my all-time faves. Pretty much every fly-fishing bro under about 40 in a trucker hat, flannel shirt and "bro-beard" (not me, but I try to keep up with the young bucks) knows it by heart, and can drop the quotes for every situation.

No doubt, but "Raising Arizona" is by far my favorite of their movies, though I'm probably biased as I've lived in Arizona most of my life and can quote the whole movie.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

I watched the Big Lebowski with Robert Williams, half a year ago.
    Great movie!

    Oh brother where art thou?

If there was a forum on the internet for Cohen brothers’ films which had a thread on shaving I guess I would have put it there....but all I could find was a shaving forum with a thread on the Cohen brothers.

No one does irony better that the Coen brothers. Raising Arizona was brilliant. Yet to watch "The big Lebowski"
Still waiting on the next Fargo.
