I am adopted at birth from unknown(to me) origins. I am fine with it. Always have been.

In an invasion of my privacy, one of my daughters swiped a journal my adoptive mother gave me should I ever want to read it.
I had not read it and she knew it.
Did the DNA and ancestry and starts telling me about my brothers........She meant well.
I am proud of her. Just was a leetle pissed!

Gives Me one of those ancestry DNA kits to do and send in. Did not do it.
Stuff creeps me out. Like digging up bones. Leads to trouble sometimes.
    Sleeping dogs and such.

TBH, the results I have seen gleaned by my 3 daughters is contradictory and silly.
Not sure I trust this half-assed gold mine of something nobody should know about.

I did the DNA spit thing and learn a little, but really it won't make any difference. Not like I'm going to go out and try to find others in my long lost family tree. The wife wanted to do it so what the hell. I don't have much, and no excitement in my history so I'm not too worried. There are a lot more fun people to mess with besides me. Life will go on and all I can do is hope the end comes before someone finds me and destroys my life with a computer. It can happen to all of us so I don't sweat it.

I knew there was something wrong with you Tom. But you're still ok in my book. LOL.

Richard, The incident that made those signs become necessary happened in Denver. It was all over the news around these parts. Stupid girl and a fake piss test. She didn't get the job.

    It's a slippery slope. Scary s**t.
It's not "if", it's "when" it gets hacked. And if there's a way to manipulate it to control people, that "will" happen at some point. Because that's what history teaches us.

I like to stay positive. But when I delve into these subjects..
Seems to me our species is doomed..
Unless some god, or aliens save us. But I must stop myself there... let's not forget that we cannot see every road ahead.

With perfect information comes the death of intrigue. What’s left to be curious about if we already know disposition, and all possible roads that could be traveled by an individual? This is where this is all leading to.

Many people believe God has a plan for them, that their life is pre-destined. And that’s fine. Except given enough information, it will not be God planning it out for you. It will be the limmitations of your DNA, and a society ensuring you live to your limitations. There will be no room for the manifestation of exceptionalism.

Humanity will enter a new phase. One none of us will recognize. A boring sanitized version where cash and the ability to create your own destiny will go unrealized for all but the 1%.

Uh, yeah, that’s the very same implication put forth in the article I posted.

There have been some movies that outlined some of these seeming inevitabilities quite well. Perhaps this is one reason why the red flag that some of us see, is non existent to many others.
Also that it is an extremely uncomfortable idea. Most people have a hard time dealing with everyday fears. I'm not sure if it was always this way, maybe it was, as a spoon full of sugar has long helped the medicine go down.
But when "normal" people hear these concerns, they dismiss the message, and cast out the messenger. (Often ridicule, and destroy).
There's probably some ancient understanding rulers know, that the people will generally keep each other in line...
In this case, the people (my sister did that dang genealogy thing), send in their tracking numbers.
Maybe I can look forward to my first tattoo being a bar code.
But thats probably not necessary, as nano-bots will provide a more thorough control...
    Sweet!
